The EMA Research Committee is comprised of professional elephant researchers who seek to provide our membership with scientific information relevant to elephant management and conservation, and to provide guidance and expertise in elephant research.
1) Share elephant research information with EMA members, presented in a way that highlights its relevance to in-situ and/or ex-situ elephant management or conservation and that can be effectively communicated to other elephant managers and the public.
2) Promote elephant research successes and activities of EMA members, both past and present.
3) Help facilitate participation in proposed and ongoing research projects.
4) Provide guidance and expertise in elephant research directly applicable to in-situ elephant management.
